cost performance and functionality by integrating MPLS and Resilient
Packet Ring (RPR, based on the emerging IEEE 802.17 standard) technologies
into the platform. Targeted for central offices, cable TV headends,
or co-location facilities, the 3 M-Series can be deployed in linear,
mesh and ring topologies, providing service restoration from network
outages in less than 50 milliseconds. The OPTurbo 3 M-Series uniquely
addresses service providers¡¯ requirements by eliminating network complexity,
simplifying management, scaling capacity, and reducing operational and

Metro Ethernet Transport
Optimized for IP/Ethernet transport, the OPTurbo 3 M-Series provides
full Layer2 support for transport, aggregation, and switching/grooming.
Aggregation of multiple Ethernet services via Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
provides carriers with efficient, high-bandwidth LAN/edge to MAN/core
interconnect services. Flexible provisioning enables aggregated fractional
Ethernet services delivered in private line or routed applications.
MQT Management System
MQT Management System is a scalable software suite to manage OPTurbo
networks. It provides utilities for both network and system management.
An intuitive graphical user interface facilitates administrative tasks
in a simple and efficient manner. Integrated management functions include
monitoring, event notification, service provisioning and system configuration
for all OPTurbo products.
